The Cavalcade Group, a collaborative venture from the independently-owned veterinary practices Millbrook Equine, Rhinebeck Equine, and the Equine Clinic at OakenCroft, is pleased to announce the ninth annual Future Equine Practitioners Weekend to take place September 7-8, 2024. This exciting educational event brings together current equine veterinary students from top schools throughout the US and Canada, practicing veterinarians, and industry professionals for two days of hands-on wet labs, networking, and expert-led discussions.

Returning this year with the goal of enabling students more hands-on time with horses and equipment through specially curated wet labs taught by esteemed veterinarians, programming for the Future Equine Practitioners Weekend (FEPW) also includes practice tours, an Intern Fair, and business panel discussions.

"We are thrilled to continue expanding the Future Equine Practitioners Weekend each year. Our goal has always been to provide aspiring veterinarians with the chance to connect with mentors, gain practical skills, and learn from industry leaders. This program is designed to lay the foundation for their future success in equine medicine," said Dr. Ryan Penno, founder of FEPW and owner of The Equine Clinic at OakenCroft.

For 2024 the Cavalcade Group has launched a new Sponsor-A-Student Initiative to assist with the financial burden of hosting an event of this scale as well as give horse owners an opportunity to pledge support for the future of equine veterinary medicine.
